Your Signature Recipes To Create Recipe Cookbook Gifts

Everyone has a few things that they are especially good at cooking. Even if you don’t know a lot about cooking, chances are there are still some things that you make really well such as salads and sandwiches. Most people just make their specialty without thinking about what truly goes into it. They don’t write it down.

Writing down all of your signature recipes is a great way to keep track of all the recipes you wrote that you like. You can even keep track of the bad recipes. Documenting what you did could help your figure out what went wrong. Also, if you have things written down, when people say that they want the recipe, you don’t need to scramble to find it or write it down at the last minute. It can also help you when mealtime comes.

You can either use index cards, your computer, or a journal to keep track.

Giving Original Recipes as Gifts

Homemade gifts are all the rage lately. Most people already have what they need, and gift certificates just aren’t personalized enough. A great gift idea is to create a recipe book or file box filled with recipes to give away as gifts. Do you have an apple pie or pasta salad recipe that people just love? Then include it in the recipe collection.

In order to make this gift worthwhile, there needs to be at least twenty recipes. That may sound like a lot but keep in mind that you can include soups, salads, desserts, main dishes, and anything else that comes to mind. You will probably have even more.

Ebooks are the easiest format to create because you can do it from your own computer using your word processing program. Then, you can have the local print shop make copies. But, you can also do recipe cards or a traditional, self published book.
