For this recipe you are going to need 4 large onions, 3 1/2 oz grated cheese, 7 oz butter, 1 bottle white wine, 2 teaspoons bouillon powder, 4 slices white bread, and 1 clove of garlic. Now that you have all your ingredients, you want to start preparing the meal.
Preparation
To prepare this French cooking recipe you are going to want to peel the skin off the onions, slice onions into rings and put them in the frying pan. Add the butter, cook onion until soft, add wine and bullion, and simmer together for about a half hour. Now you want to grate the cheese so that you have it ready to go, and when you take the soup out and pour into serving bowls, on top of each you want to sprinkle some of this grated cheese.
Put the bowls in the oven for about twenty minutes as this is going to heat the soup back up and make sure that the cheese on top is completely melted. Now you can serve the soup, and you may want to cook up an appetizer to serve with it if you like.
