Have a cookie bug? Craving a snack fix? Why not bake some quick and easy cookie recipes? Even the beginner in the kitchen can make delicious cookies with limited skills and just a few ingredients. Here are a few quick and easy cookie recipe ideas:

Peanut Cookies

You’ll need flour, baking powder, both white and brown sugars, a couple eggs, milk, a little vegetable oil and don’t forget the peanuts. Preheat the oven to about 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix everything but the peanuts. Beat the mixture until you end up with a creamy, brown paste. Now you add the peanuts and mix with your hand. Take it easy on the dough though, you don’t want it to become too tough. Take a small chunk of the dough and roll it into a ball using the palms of your hands. Fill up the entire cookie tray leaving at least an inch between cookies. Slide your cookie tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Cooking times vary with every oven, so keep a watchful eye on your cookies. When they become golden brown, remove from the oven and sprinkle with some powdered sugar. Allow a few minutes for the cookies to cool before serving. You’re done – you’ve made your first quick and easy cookie recipe.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a little different from the peanut cookies recipe, but it’s still just as easy. In a medium-sized bowl mix the dry ingredients; flour, salt and baking soda. In a bigger bowl blend together shortening, both brown and white sugars, eggs, and pure vanilla extract. Mix until the sugar is completely blended with the other ingredients. Now you’ll pour the dry mix bowl in with the bigger bowl and mix until you have a creamy, almost thick cookie dough. Add in your chocolate chips and mix again. Now spoon your cookie dough onto the cookie tray. They don’t have to be perfectly round cookie blobs, just make them as even as you can and again, leave enough space between the cookies so they don’t connect while baking. After your cookie tray is full stick the tray in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. If the cookies still look really soggy in the middle, allow them to cook for another minute or two. Remove from oven and let them cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Voila. You’ve just made simple and delicious quick and easy chocolate chip cookies! You can make a few cookies or you can make a lot and keep them hidden in the cookie jar. For some cookie recipes you can even chill the dough in the refrigerator if your cooking process has been interrupted and need to continue later. If your cookies tend to stick to the baking pan, try spraying it with a thin layer of cooking spray prior to setting the cookie dough on it.

There are tons of quick and easy cookie recipes for virtually everyone to make. This is a fun and delicious treat and you can involve the kiddoes in the cookie making process as well. Family fun with an edible treat!
