Easy Italian Cooking Recipes For You To Try

Chicken Cacciatore Recipe
Chicken cacciatore is an extremely easy Italian cooking recipe that can be easily prepared at home. This dish can be prepared in half an hour on average and with just a short list of ingredients. You will want to have either one to three pounds of chicken. The vegetables you need are one onion and one pound of mushrooms. The liquids needed are one cup of dry sherry, two cups of marinara sauce, and one cup of chicken broth. You will also need one fourth cup of olive oil and one tablespoon of parsley, two Italian food staples. You can flavor further with salt and pepper.
Cook the chicken in a pan with the olive oil heated on the bottom. Add the vegetables once you have the chicken browned and ready. You will want to cook these together for a few moments and then drain any excess oil. Next, add the wine, salt and pepper cooking this for one minute. Next, add the two leftover sauces, marinara and broth.
After the mixture boils, let simmer on low heat for a half hour. Place chicken on a dish and gently pour sauce over top of it. Then, garnish on top with the parsley. Enjoy!
Caprice Salad
Caprice salad is yet another easy Italian cooking dish. The main ingredients are two pounds of red ripe tomatoes sliced nicely and around a pound of mozzarella thickly sliced. Extra virgin olive oil, around four tablespoons, and a fist full of fresh basil leaves, around eight, are all that is needed. With this recipe you can also use salt and pepper.
This lovely and simple dish just requires your arrangement skills. Layer sliced tomatoes on a plate and top with mozzarella. Then, lightly pour the olive oil over top. Top with the torn basil leaves and add the salt and pepper if you like.
